Oyster Gratin with Horseradish and Parmesan
Enjoy this delicious seafood dish called Oyster Gratin with Horseradish and Parmesan. It has the salty taste of fresh oysters, the richness of Parmesan cheese, and the spiciness of horseradish. When baked just right, it's a beautiful starter or main dish.
Ingredients:
- 24 fresh oysters, shucked and drained
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated horseradish
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400F 200C
Arrange the shucked oysters in a baking dish
In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, horseradish, and heavy cream
Spoon the mixture over each oyster evenly
In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper
Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the oysters
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the topping is golden and bubbly
Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired
